ONCE UPON A TIME...

Our founder and creative director, Lori Cunningham, has been designing dresses since childhood. Cunningham, who today lives in Manhattan, grew up in West Virginia where she learned from her two grandmothers, the namesakes of Jane Summers, the craftsmanship that defines skilled dressmaking. Their legacy is an essential part of Jane Summers signature style.

IT ALL STARTED ON A TRIP...

During an inspirational shopping trip, Cunningham found herself drawn again and again to dresses that recalled what she learned from her grandmothers—choosing a beautiful fabric, perfecting the fit and infusing each dress with feminine and couture-inspired details.
