by Jane Summers

Phuket beach honeymoon destination for Jane Summers blog feature

Made with 20 to 30-something pieces, a season's capsule collection gives its wearer an air of undeniable style. Only the most incredibly lovely pieces will be picked for your mini closet – so getting ready is effortless. For the bride with an extended honeymoon planned, putting together a capsule collection ensures your time will be spent exploring amazing destinations, not questioning outfit choices.

BEGIN WITH A BIKINI

The last thing you’ll want to do after a leisurely ocean-front brunch on the beach is move from that spot.  A chic swimsuit (we recommended bringing a maillot as well as bikinis depending on your honeymoon agenda—relaxation vs. exploration.

DON’T FORGET A LITTLE WHITE DRESS

One week you may be exploring the Amalfi Coast and the next, wine tasting in the Loire Valley. Your honeymoon will be full of picture perfect memories. A versatile little white dress (like these) will ensure you’re prepared for every occasion from a casual lunch at an outdoor café to a formal dinner at a beautiful restaurant.

FAVORITE FLATS & GO TO HEELS

Flats are our go-to travel and exploring favorites, but we also love knowing that we have a pair of stylish (and comfortable!) heels at the ready for special occasions. The chic, low bock heel is becoming one of our new favorite in-between styles!  Select this lovely link to see a few pairs to inspire.) Depending upon the style, it can work with almost any outfit and still leave you able to take that walking tour of a new city.

EARRINGS AND NECKLACES AND BRACELETS, OH MY!

When we think of style and grace, Jackie and Audrey immediately come to mind. One thing we learned from their iconic fashion style is that the right jewelry can elevate any outfit. (We still dream about that stunning necklace in "Breakfast at Tiffany's.") To ensure your outfit is ready for its close up, pack a pair of drop earrings in your jewelry bag. The dazzling gems will make a statement at the best parties as well as give your look a touch of brilliance when you feel like wearing something understated.

PAIR YOUR SEPARATES

When you look great, confidence is undeniable. Select your favorite tops, skirts and jackets to take you from exploring quaint seaside towns to strolling along the Seine. Think a reinvented button down, a flowy skirt, a delicate camisole and a blazer to pair with any look. Separates, especially those in a complimentary color story, can provide endless options yet still be compact enough to leave plenty of room for all of those lovely items you’re sure to find to remind you of your amazing honeymoon.
